Radio Free Baltimore is a premier alternative and modern rock band featuring a talented group of instrumental artists combined with powerful lead and background vocals. RFB performs in clubs and local venues throughout Greater Baltimore, DC, and VA area covering a wide variety of songs from the 80s through the music of today (including popular and perhaps lesser known alternative selections), allowing RFB to market to various types of jobs/formats based on the clientele.
The band's roots trace back to a few cover/original bands (ThD, Xs for Eyes) that played around Baltimore and Annapolis in the mid to late 90s. The band still plays the music from that era (the Clash, Elvis Costello, the Cure, Joe Jackson, REM, the Replacements, Squeeze, the Talking Heads, U2) but has added many other similarly distinctive artists to its lineup, such as Cake, Counting Crows, the Decemberists, the Fratellis, Fountains of Wayne, Kings of Leon, Pearl Jam, the Strokes, STP, Weezer (See our Playlist for a full song list).
